This is the closest I have come to a brother/sister shot. Ahhh, that’s love, there.
I LOVE this picture. Talk about timing.
And then not so much. But she has to do everything he does so we got close.
This is where I will now keep my somewhat irregular updates on the comings and goings of the Hinds Household.
Tuck got this GREAT tricycle last August for his 3rd birthday from Grandma Connie. Just this week he has mastered the pedaling.
The seat is as far up as it will go and he has not been able to reach the pedals. And when he did he had to shift from side to side and couldn’t keep up enough momentum to keep himself propelled. He got really frustrated.
But now he has it down. He even took it to Missy’s for a parade. That will be another post.
Way to go Tuck man! I am so proud of you!!!
We had our Dad’s over for dinner on Sunday. We ate REALLY well. Pork chops and zucchini on the grill, corn, Beef House rolls and strawberry jam. TJ is so good at grilling. And I made an apple pie that Dad claimed beat Marie Calendar’s.
Afterwards, we went outside for some game time. First it was football. Tuck is pretty good at making up his own rules. “Hike it to me” “Chase me” “Tackle me”
Then some catch with Papaw and Daddy.
Can you say Charlie Brown? Don’t do it, Tucker!
The kids were helping Daddy try to set up the new game: Big Birdie Golf
Kora was very good at fetching the golf balls.
The kids with Daddy. This was JUST prior to Kora doing the ants in her pants dance.
And more football. This time with Grandpa Charlie.
We had a good time.
We met our friends Bison and Archer at Turkey Run State Park for some hiking fun. We did a pretty short trail but it held plenty of sites for exploring.
Kora had a bug bite right next to her eye. We were calling her “Sloth”. (Surely you remember Goonies)
This is Archer. He is just a bulldog and so much fun.
Tuck and Bison exploring the canyon. We took to calling the Lewis and Clark. They were quite the adventurers; even taking one short little loop trail on their own.
Kora throwing rocks. It was a challenge to keep the boys slowed down and her moving.
Bison, Archer, Kora and Tucker lined up on a log. They were filthy by the time we got back to the car for lunch but they had such a great time.
Thanks, boys, for such a great time.
I have only had it for two days but I think I am in love. Of course my standards are pretty low after my last one. All I really wanted was an action setting to get clear pictures of my active kids. Here are some samples:
Tuck in the pool.
And Tuck not cooperating. But after I showed him this on the screen he really hammed it up for me later.
It’s a Kodak Easy Share Max Z990. It’s considered a hybrid between a point and shoot and an SLR. I think I will keep it.
This year we had three friends graduating from Missy’s. AJ, Behn and Ollie will be missed.
Missy had just the right number of kids and decided to brave a Disney production. The kids did Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. (Or Dorks, according to Behn: “which dork are you going to be?”)
Tucker was the best little Sneezy there ever was. I made all the dwarf hats and sewed the patches on all of their shirts.
And Kora, along with all of the others her age, were small woodland creatures. This was Kora’s pose through the whole play; she didn’t move.
This is Prince Charming and the Dwarfs at the mine, waiting for their big entrance.
“Hi Ho! Hi Ho! It’s home from work we go”
Look out Kora Bunny.
And Snow White awakes and –Most- of the Dwarves are hiding.
And Snow White rides off into the sunset (or the scorching temperatures as the case may be).
Behn, Cole and Tuck with their mining tools. And the witches tower in the background.
Missy was so brave to even attempt this. The kids did great even in the 90 degree temperatures.
