Ultrasound Update

I had yet another ultrasound this morning to check on Cora's kidneys. This time all is well. The technician said they are within the normal range and we should not need any more checks. The Dr will confirm at our regular appointment on Tues. I have stopped by the fabric shop. Are these not the cutest fabrics for curtains?! I love toile and the bunny toile is just so cute!!!

Vacation

We all went on vacation last week to Big Cedar Lodge in Southern Missouri. We left on Fri afternoon and stayed in St. Louis that night. Tuck did swimmingly on the whole drive. He is like his mother; put him in a car and he is asleep in no time. We stopped at the Bass Pro Shop in Springfield on the way on Sat. Tuck loved it. He got to try out all of the ATV's. And he got to see all of the fish aka "Shish". There were some really BIG ones in one tank. TJ didnt' even know what kind they are but Tuck is still spreading out his arms and telling about the BIG SHISH.
We went on a horse drawn wagon ride to a campsite where a singing cowboy sang songs while we roasted marshmallows. Tucker did not want to get off the wagon. You can't tell it from this picture but Tucker's marshmallows were about 3 feet from the fire. He ahd fun playing chase with another little boy about his age. They were from Arkansas. I could have just sat and listened to their mama talk with that southern accent.
Another day we went on another tour through a Nature Park. We saw the biggest rainbow trout, petted grandma deer and then had to keep Tuck from petting the elk and buffalo. This is Elvis the bull with the crazy hairdo.
We also went swimming in a kiddy pool and in an infinity pool. Fun and gorgeous but unfortunatly no pictures.

Cold Weather Pregnancy

It's official. Fall is here. The temps have fallen and so have my pregnancy spirits. I have just decided that a winter pregnancy sucks. Now I have to put on socks and tie my shoes. This is no small feat. My feet are so far away and there is so much going on between the two of us......

Chef Tucker

Tucker has become a chef. He made Jello all by himself on Sat afternoon. He was very careful with the stirring and with the HOT water. He poured in the cold water with a little help. Needless to say he DID NOT want to give it up to put it in the fridge. And the best part was the look on his face when we opened the fridge and it was ready. He was so excited!!!
WANT SOME?

Historic Prophetstown

This morning Tucker, my dad and I went to Historic Prophetstown. It is a 1920's farmstead with all the working equipment and animals. Tuck loved it.
He got to pet and feed a horse. He got to chase some chickens.
And pet a calf. It licked him and Tuck wasn't too sure about that.
And he picked some clover for the "Baa's"
His favorite was the ride on the horse draw wagon. He sat at the front and watched the horses the whole time.
I just love this picture of him and Papaw. That has to be all for now because Tuck is helping me type and whining for a snack.

Hanging Out with my Cousin

TJ's brother, Scott, and his son, Anthony, came over for dinner on Thurs evening.Tuck loved playing with Anthony. They played in the mud.
They played on the swingset. They played in the basement with darts and the ping pong table. I had a lovely evening too. With all of the preoccumpied, I had 40 minutes of uninteruption and I actually got to work on the baby blanket I am crocheting. Aaahh!
Don't you just want to kiss those cheeks?!

Men At Work

Our children are officially safe from the dangers of THE POOL. We got an automatic pool cover installed this week. These guys were amazing. They rolled in at about 130 pm and by 4 pm they had everything cleaned up, we were educated on the operation and maintenance and they were rolling out. Then Dad and TJ spent the rest of the evening running the electrical lines. By 8 pm they were done. It's so nice. And now we can justify that leaf blower since we will have to keep all of the debris off of it.
It can hold up to 3800 lbs so I think TJ and Tuck are safe. Tuck stepped out onto it first thing and then thought better of it and scrambled back off. Now he only approaches it with supervision. Good Boy.
