Has she dropped?

38.5 weeks and counting. This was actually last week. She has dropped more now.
I am more than ready to have Kora join us for the holidays. I tried to gorge myself into labor on Thanksgiving. My mother in law made it easy enough with all the great food she had for all of us. But alas, no baby yet.
I have been having a streak of energy though and they say that is the last great effort to prepare for arrival. All of the clothes are washed. The bags are packed. The car seat is washed and ready and the pack and play is in our room awaiting someone to sleep in it. And Mama is ready to be done incubating.

Papaw did it

Tuck went to visit Papaw and Grandma Deb last week. Tuck was playing on the pool table and having a ball rolling all the balls into the pockets. You can see what happened when Papaw told him to sniff the blue chalk. He will fit into the Hole family yet.

Fall Leaves

It's that time of year when the leaves are falling and the air smells of their eradication. The kids got to play in the leaf pile last week at daycare and they just sent me this picture of my little star.

School Pictures

Most of you know that Tucker has been going to a daycare/preschool since March that we just love. And Tucker is just blossoming as a result. Missy and Ed and their whole family are involved in the daycare. Their parents come for music classes and one of their parent's dresses as a clown on occasion to entertain the kids. They have educational activities every day and Tuck brings home at least one art project each day. Right now they are making a book chain with links for all of the books the kids read. It already wraps around their playroom once. Tuck's favorite book right now is "Everyone Poops" so we have a lot of links with "poop" on them. But I think the most amazing thing about this daycare/preschool is that the kids had school pictures taken. Missy is such an organizer for all of these events. And Ed is a wonderful photographer. It shows when you can take pictures of kids. Check out his other work on his Facebook page: Photographed by Ed. I am just so proud of my little man and get the biggest kick out of having school pictures at age 2. And isn't he just the most handsome little schoolboy you ever did see? Is my bias showing?! :)

Pumkin Patch Field Trip

Tucker's daycare went on a field trip to the pumpkin patch last week. It just amazes me the things that Missy does with these kids. We are so fortunate to have found her and we welcome her into our family. This is most of the class in the wagon (yes, I know it's a manure spreader).
This is the pumpkin that Tucker picked out all by himself. It was just his size. Now we have to decorate it for the contest on Saturday at the big Halloween party.
We picked up a few extras for the porch while we were out there. It's such a fun patch to go to and the kids all had such fun. Tucker and his new friend Henry ran and played until they were just worn out.

YEE HAW!!!

We are now the proud parents of a true blue rodeo cowboy. We received this cow as an anonymous gift from a secret admirer and Tuck has taken up riding it. TJ has taught him to hold on to the rope and wave his arm for balance. Now he even has a special hat that he wears and he "waves it to the ladies" when he dismounts or gets bucked off. And you can see on the video that he wails a mighty Yee Haw as he rides and does get bucked off on occasion. This kid is just a hoot! What ever did we do without him for entertainment.

Halloween Party Pics

Tucker and I went to our friend's 3rd annual halloween bash on Saturday. TJ, of course, was hunting so had to miss out on the fun. This party is always so much fun. Everyone who attends dresses up and it seems everyone makes their own costumes. They are one creative bunch! Check out this link for more party pictures. http://babblesbybrook.blogspot.com/2009/10/smore-family-sticks-together.html I must admit that I am pretty proud of my ingenuity as well. I am currently 7.5 months pregnant so decided to go as the Magic 8-ball. If anyone asked me a question I would wiggle (like they were shaking me up) and answer "Not tonight Dear". Tuck dressed as Daddy the hunter equipped fully with pop gun. He had such a ball playing chase with all of the other little ones. He was worn out for the rest of the weekend.
