Another month has passed, oh how fast it goes.
We gave you Cheerios for the first time. They were a big hit. You only have they two teeth but you can gum the daylights out of them. You can pick them up with pincher fingers but you have to stuff your whole fist in your mouth to get them released. You love your little bit of independence. We started you one some cereal and you are liking it ok.
We were all sick for a week this month. Mommy had bronchitis and you kids both had ear infections. Kora has had quite a few this spring. We were invited to a friends for a cook out but I played the responsible parent and kept you all home.
Mommy has been feeling poorly this month. My thyroid levels have been out of balance. I planned to wait for my regular appointment but I just couldn’t make it. I was feeling so exhausted all the time. Dr. Gray changed my dose and now I am back to chasing kids and playing again. “Sirry Mommy” as Tuck would say.
You got to go to the Montgomery County Fair. We went to see the Warren kids show sheep. They did well and you enjoyed all the sights and sounds. You fell asleep to the pounding of rain on the showbarn roof and missed the annual elephant ear; that was probably just as well, we don’t want you to develop a sweet tooth too soon.
You are still getting up twice a night to nurse. Mommy is hoping we get over that soon and has been feeding you food and cereal later in the evening hoping to remedy this but to no avail.
It was a bittersweet time this month. You had been staying with Mabel and Karen Geiger since Mommy went back to work. She only had 2 other kids so you got LOTS of attention, which Mommy just loved (I think Mabel loved it too). But this month we made the switch and you have started going to Missy’s with Tucker. Missy loves having your tiny little self there and Mommy loves having one drop off point. But I do miss Mabel. She was such an integral part of our lives.
You are officially on the move now. You crawl very well now. You do it on one knee and one foot. You are pretty quick; you can be underfoot in no time at all. You love playing with Tuck’s toys and chasing him around. He loves teaching you how to crawl.
The day before you turned 8 months you pulled yourself up on the couch. You struggled with it for a while and you had a red nose because you used your face as the third leg for stability. But you did it. I am afraid this crawling stage is not going to last long.
Your last big adventure this month was the Dale Family Reunion. We had 4 of 5 generations represented with at least 85 people in our backyard. This is your Nanna’s mom’s family. Aunt Barkie was the oldest one here and you were the youngest until Patrick Wells’ daughter Aly arrived later in the afternoon (She’s 2 months younger than you are). There was swimming, reminiscing, eating and game playing. You, to your chagrin, were mothered and carried around all day; the Reid girls just loved you to pieces and the only time Mommy got you was when you were hungry. Everyone had a good time and many wanted to be sure that we host again next year. We’ll see since it was such a success.
I love you Little Miss and the personality you are starting to develop. You are such a sweet even tempered happy baby and we love you so much.

I am overwhelmed with tears, silly me! She is so very beautiful, Susannah. She is growing too quickly and my heart is kind of breaking. Maybe I am having an emotional moment. She just seems to be growing before my eyes.
