The New Kitchen

Gamma Deb has a play kitchen at her house and Tuck just loves playing with it. But they are really expensive.  I was searching for one online before Christmas and found homemade ones.  So I gave the idea to Papaw and voila!

This started out as an entertainment center. 

He replaced the glass door with wood, painted it with magnetic paint so we can use real magnets.  There is a real timer on the microwave.  I had the picture frame and an old calendar. Grandma Nanny is making curtains for the window and a washcloth and potholder. And I have been making some felt food.  Here is a sampling. I have plans for the makings of a sandwich, gingerbread cookies and pancakes/tortillas.

My intention was to make this Dad’s winter project but he was inspired and had it done in less than 2 weeks.  Upon delivery, this is the first thing Kora did.  Don’t tell anyone that my daughter was in the oven.

 

I think it is going to be a big hit!
